This was attended by, the department of Center for East Asian Studies Groningen ministry of lands, Makerere university, kyambogo university and associates research trust Uganda. This took place on the 13th of march 2017.
Funded by the Ford Foundation and organized jointly by the Globalisation Studies Groningen and Centre for East Asian Studies Groningen, this symposium invited experts in China’s development and China-Africa development cooperation from Europe and Africa to explore and discuss some crucial issues concerning China’s urbanisation processes. China’s experiences and lessons learnt in tackling the political, economic, planning, social, environmental and health dimensions on our understanding of Africa’s own development paths and China’s support for its development. This symposium was to contribute to a better understanding of the issues concerned, to stimulate new ways of thinking of development and to forge partnerships for research cooperation.
